The September Sessions An Bhunabhainn Louisburgh, County Mayo. This is the third year of THE SEPTEMBER SESSIONS - a festival of traditional music in the quiet environs of An Bhun Abhainn pub in Louisburgh bringing together local musicians and players from further afield. Emer's guests this year include Danny Diamond- Fiddle, Níall Begley- Accordion, John Kilkenny- Fiddle, Declan Courell- Guitar/Song and Philip Duffy- Fiddle. Music begins on Friday 28th at 9pm and sessions continue throughout the weekend

In May, Emer will travel to China to perform FUSION III, a newly commissioned work by composer Jia Daqun. Along with Peter Browne (accordion), Frank Torpey (bodhran), a 13 piece string orchestra from the Shanghai Conservatory led by Fionnuala Hunt, The National Chamber choir and traditional musicians from China. The concerts will take place on: Tuesday, 25 May, He Luting Concert Hall , Shanghai Wednesday, 26 May, National Library Concert Hall, Beijing
